Bette and Barry

Born in Detroit and raised in Southern California , Sherie Rae's education centered on her music, songwriting, drama, dance, voice and the arts. By the time she was 14 she made her first professional recording. At 15, she formed her own band and played the club circuit in and around the LA area for 10 years. In 1990, Sherie Rae, in a tribute to Bette Midler, performed on the stage of "Legends in Concert." Engagements lasting from weeks to months took the Bette Midler impersonator from Las Vegas to cities and countries all over the world arranged by "Legends in Concert," "American Superstars," "Stars in Concert," and other production companies.

Sherie Rae says, "I feel a special closeness to Bette. Our voices are alike and I try to portray her with the same energy and humor that she displays on stage. She reaches out and grabs you! It's hard work, but it's fun!"

Here's what others have said after seeing Sherie Rae's performance as the 'Divine Miss M':

"She's got Midler's wiggling walk down pat...Sherie seems to possess a never ending supply of energy." – Kim Pryor "Inner View" Press

"Star power on stage. The audience is in for a true treat. Sherie Rae bears an uncanny resemblance to the vivacious diva and reproduces Midler's bawdy sense of humor, as well as her vocal acrobatics, to perfection." – Teresa Peters "What's On" Magazine

It's immediately obvious that Rae has sass to burn and fits the Midler mold perfectly. Sherie Rae manages such a powerful performance as Bette Midler that she actually ends up on the floor during an emotion-packed 'Stay With Me Baby.' Her 'Wind Beneath My Wings' will send chills up the most jaded show goer's spine." – "Fun and Gaming"

"Sherie Rae Parker presents a remarkable impersonation of the dynamic Bette Midler in 'Serendipity'." – Hilary Green "Showbiz Weekly"
